Most purse hooks sit loose in your bag and only work on flat tables. Clingy stays attached to your bag, works on multiple surfaces, and uses a spring gate for quick clipping. It’s an everyday carry (EDC) accessory designed by engineers and built to go everywhere you do.

Clingy is for anyone who carries a bag and doesn’t want it on the floor: students, travelers, commuters, parents, gym-goers, and anyone who works from cafés or co-working spaces. If you ever think “Where do I put my bag?”, Clingy is for you.

Open the spring gate and clip Clingy around a strap, loop, or handle on your bag. Once it’s attached, you can leave it there permanently so it’s always ready to use.

Keep Clingy attached to your bag strap, open the spring gate, hook it over the edge of a table, door, fence, rail, cart handle, or similar surface, and let your bag hang from the lower part of the hook. No extra setup, no digging around in your bag.

Clingy works with most backpacks, purses, tote bags, laptop bags, gym and sports bags, diaper bags, and duffel bags. If your bag has a strap, loop, or handle, Clingy can probably clip to it.

Clingy is designed for everyday surfaces like tables and bar tops, desks, counters, bathroom stalls and doors, fences and rails, shopping carts, bleachers, and gym equipment. If your hand can grab the edge, there’s a good chance Clingy can too.

Extremely thick, rounded, or soft surfaces can be tricky. Examples include very thick conference tables, heavily padded rails, and wide ledges with no underside to grip. If a surface feels too wide or squishy to grab firmly, Clingy may not get a strong hold either.

Yes, but treat glass with care. Place Clingy gently on thinner glass tables and avoid slamming or swinging your bag against the edge. Clingy is designed to hold weight, not damage furniture.

Clingy is engineered and tested to hold up to approximately 30 lbs (about 13.6 kg) under typical use. That comfortably covers most everyday backpacks, purses, and gym bags.

The production version of ClingyHook is made from a durable metal alloy chosen for strength and everyday use, paired with a spring-gated mechanism and friction-friendly contact surfaces to keep your bag stable when hanging.

Yes. Clingy is designed to distribute weight through the hook shape rather than pinch or cut your straps. As with any hardware, avoid extreme swinging or jerking forces on very delicate straps.

Clingy is designed for everyday environments like cafés, classrooms, gyms, and airports. Normal exposure to light moisture is fine, but avoid long-term soaking or very harsh environments. If Clingy gets wet, dry it off after use.

Wipe Clingy down with a soft cloth and mild soap if needed, then dry it completely. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers that could damage the finish.

Clingy was created by two Florida-based engineers, Alejandro (civil) and Cesar (mechanical), who were tired of seeing backpacks and bags on dirty floors in restaurants, classrooms, airports, and gyms.
